Today’s message is a poem submitted by Jon Bricker.
Jon last posted a message in Week 20,
and we invite you to view that message in our Archives. Jon’s
last message discussed the theology of God’s saving grace. Today’s
message is meant as a cry of praise to our God. This is a joyful
poem, and we hope you enjoy it as you focus on Jesus during this
Christmas season.
Luke 2:10-16, as revealed by the Holy Spirit to Jon Bricker…
Christmas time speaks volumes,
Of the goodness of our King;
For when I think upon His love,
My heart within me sings!
Sings? “Oh no, Jon...Say it ain't so!
You have an awful voice!”
But Christ died so I might sing to Him;
I haven't any choice!
And not to worry, I'm not alone;
Ten millions join my praise.
Around the world, around His throne,
Exalting in His ways.
"His ways?" you ask.
"What ways are these:
That cause such songs of joy?"
Well, in a manger, long ago...
God became a boy. |

Luke 2:10-16
10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 "This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
14 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."
15 When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, "Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us."
16 So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.
